Swiss watch MASTER TAG HEUER just hosted an event this last Wednesday in TOBY boutique rawdah branch JEDDAH, announcing  their latest collaboration and exciting partnership with the amazing designer HATEM ALAKEEL

TAG HEUER just launched their latest collection in TOBY boutique at the same time HATEM ALAKEEL launched his latest capsule collection "BLUE LABEL" of thobes and shirts inspired by the TAG HEUER brand...

TOBY has been transformed  into Saudi’s first multi-brand concept store for men

the event was amazing,the crowd was soo fashionable,,,,and i have to say that ive attended many events in jeddah lately but this one was my fav so far!!

i had the chance to have a lil chit chat with TAG Heuer’s Area Sales Director Kolia Neveux ,only 2 of jeddah bloggers  was picked to meet him and talk with him i was one of them,,

so i started my questions by asking him how did they choose HATEM ALAKEEL "we were excited to collaborate with hatem as he has the same concept as TAG HEUER "how to combine traditional style with a modern twist" our goal is how to create a luxurious life style" says KOLIA

KOLIA was talking about TOBY boutique by saying " we were thrilled to be a part of the first male multi-brands concept store in saudi arabia" 

he was saying "we are interested in saudi arabia and  We are pleased to host one of first events in Jeddah and to share our latest novelties with the Saudi and expatriate community" says KOLIA

"i visit saudi arabia most of the time especially Riyadh/Dammam/Jeddah..and personally i love jeddah and her ppl"

so many ppl were there to interview him so he had to say goodbye,then he pointed at me and said "you are a fashion blogger!! i love fashion blogs "

so guys do you know who ORGANIZED the event?! well its NICHEARABIA by MARRIAM MUSALLI "my iron woman" the woman that ROCKED my FEATHER ABAYA with her BALENCIAGA belt and mini chanel!!! beautiful M

Story #9 meet Sheikha NOOR&HAYA ALKHALIFA

i will start this interview by telling you a story about two special young ladies,,,one of them decided to make her dream a reality, the other one decided to take a role in that dream and help making it real!!!

their brand became the gossip of the town when they decided to launch in 2011,,,in a very private venue with special customers...the next show in the same year was in LA with number of celebrities,,,2012 they took a part of NYFW ,,,

their journey just began and we are definitely  waiting for more,,,

sweet fashionistas here are the 2 fab girls behind the bahraini brand NOON "shiekha NOOR ALKHALIFA, and sheikha HAYA AL-KHALIFA.... 

How did you find your passion for fashion?

Shaikha Noor: From a very young age, I knew that I wanted to become a designer. For starters, my father is an artist.  I have also been blessed with having stylish womensurround methroughout my whole life.So fashion has always been an integral part of me.

Shaikha Haya: I have always been interested in the arts and fashion, but my decision to pursue fashion design as a career came later in life, after extensive travels around the world where I gained inspiration from the various cultures I encountered.

When did you start Noon By Noor?

Shaikha Noor:  I initially launched Noon By Noor in June of 2008, but realized that I wanted to get involved in every step of the design process, from concept to final product. And so, I decided to attain my educational degree first only to return back to my label fully equipped. 

Shaikha Haya: It was then that I decided to join forces with Noor, and upon completion of our studies, we moved back to Bahrain and the label was reborn.

Why the name Noon By Noor?

Shaikha Noor: Noon, of course, is the Arabic version of the letter “N”.  I chose this name initially because it appealed to me personally and more importantly because of its unique reference to our culture.

Shaikha Haya: When I joined, we had contemplated a name change, but I was already in love with the name.  It was catchy and seemed to fit perfectly, so why change it!

Were there any obstacles when you first started out? How did you manage them?

We always knew that the fashion industry was highly competitive, but we were well prepared. We raise the bar with every new collection, and the entire process has nothing less than an amazing learning experience!

You both design for the one label, how do you manage that? Do you agree on everything?

Interestingly enough, our design styles are almost the exact opposite of one another.  The secret to our success is our ability to harmoniously blend these designs into one concept. We’re not only cousins, we have been best friends since childhood; so naturally we never letdisagreements get in the way of making a magnificent team.  We know exactly how to get around them.

Where do you get your inspiration?

We are inspired by our rich and vibrant culture as well as modern elements from the Western world. We also draw a lot of inspiration from traveling, where we search for cultural elements that we can incorporate into our collections. We are always inspired by our personal stories, our family and friends; never forgetting to keep our eyes and ears open to all that surrounds us.

Do you manufacture locally?

Yes, we manufacture our collections at our head office located in the Seef District in Bahrain. Our whole operation is situated over five floors from design to tailoring and administration. We also havea showroom,which acts as a venue for fashion shows, photoshoots and an exclusive venue for our clients to view our collections privately.

Who are your favorite local and international designers?

We are both open to a wide range of designers. As long as the item is well-crafted, we wear everything from new designers to old classics.

What is your ultimate dream or your biggest goal?

To place Bahrain on the fashion map.

What are your plans for 2012? How will you achieve them?

the great news i have "late better than never lol" that the queen of details, my favorite street style,,and the diva im dreaming abt having half of her wardrobe the legendary ANNA DELLO RUSSO is collaborating with H&M to create a special accessories collection for them,,,

 it will be Available from October 4, 2012, at the peak of the global fashion weeks tour, in around 140 stores worldwide and online. The collection features jewelry, sunglasses, shoes and bags and a trolley allowing H&M customers uniqueness at an affordable price

i love how smart is H&M and how they always know how to surprise us with the perfect designers and even DIVAS...
